Four things to know about hardwood

Hardwood is always going to be one of the more popular flooring types. When you walk into the store to explore samples, you’ll understand why.“The more you know” is a series of public service announcements that many of us probably remember; use it when considering wood floors, because there’s a lot of misinformation out there.

We’re proud of our 5-star rating on such a trustworthy site as Home Advisor because at Austin Floor Pros we're all about service, quality, and affordability.

Our fully stocked inventory includes every type of flooring, from hardwood to carpet and more. We treat every installation, whether it’s residential or commercial as if it’s in our own home.

Visit our showroom in Pflugerville, TX and speak to one of our experts. We also serve Lakeway, Leander, Cedar Park, and Round Rock. Be sure to ask about our quotes.

Fact: Hardwood is a good investment

As any flooring retailer will tell you, these floors add value to your property. First, you will recoup 70 to 80 percent of the initial purchase price, as reflected in your assessment. If you are even remotely thinking of selling, know that buyers will often pay more for a home with wood floors.

There are other things to consider, such as the fact that they endure for decades, sometimes even up to 100 years. Usually, a refinishing is all it takes to bring a worn floor up to its original luster, so there are minimal-or non-existent replacement costs. They also never go out of style and fit into any decor; if you want a change, simply have them sanded and stained a different color.

Of course, some are stronger than others. If you have special flooring needs, be sure to ask your retailerfor suggestions.
